Homecoming 2024! Parade, Community Rally & Game!
2024 Homecoming Week

Homecoming Parade and Community Pep Rally - Monday, Sept. 16

  • Please review the map of the homecoming parade below; it has been slightly altered from last year’s route to include the area on the westernmost side of the parade (near the Ag building) blocked off for spectators due to construction in that area.
  • Spectators are welcome to start setting up for the parade at 5 p.m., and the parade starts at 6 p.m. Please remain on the sidewalks or grassy areas and avoid the street.
  • Spectators must park in the designated parking lots surrounding the AHS and DNG buildings. No parking will be permitted on Bailey Ranch Road or in the grass.
  • Spectators will be expected to comply with requests to remain off the driveway during the parade and follow directions provided by the administrators, police and volunteers assisting with the parade.
  • Tailgating will not be permitted during this event.
  • The Aledo ISD Bearcat Store will be set up in the area between AHS and DNG with Bearcat merch for sale beginning at 5 p.m.! (This means that the Bearcat Store will be closed on Monday to prepare for the parade).

Even though we will have AHS-DNG administrators, AISD police officers and volunteers stationed throughout the route to ensure the safety of our participants as well as spectators, we ask that parents/guardians and adults attending the parade help to make sure children do not enter the driveway/parade route during the parade.

The Community Pep Rally will begin immediately following the parade inside Buchanan Stadium. Spectators should sit on the home side of the stadium.

Homecoming Game Ticket Sales

We will utilize the same timeline and systems for ticket sales that we did for the first varsity home game last week for next week’s Homecoming game. Please note that tickets will sell out extremely fast! Bearcats fans may purchase tickets on the visitor side, but you MUST sit on the visitor side with a visitor ticket.

The following is the varsity home football game ticket timeline:

  • AHS-DNG students in grades 9-12: May purchase 1 ticket per non-participating student from 8 a.m. on Monday through noon on Thursday the week of a home game. Reminder: student athletics passes are not valid varsity home football games.
  • Parents of students participating in home varsity football games: May purchase up to 4 tickets from 8 a.m. on Monday through noon on Tuesday the week of a home game.
  • General Admission Public Ticket Sales: Begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday the week of a home game until sold out. More General Admission tickets may become available beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday the day before the home game. Reminder: Family athletic passes are not valid for varsity home football games.

An email will be sent to non-participating students in grades 9-12 as well as parents of students participating in home varsity football games when ticket sales are open before each home game (8 a.m. on Mondays) with instructions on how to purchase tickets. Please check Aledo ISD social media (Facebook | Twitter) for links to purchase general admission tickets on Tuesdays as well as for updates on sell outs and if additional tickets are available on Thursday afternoons.

As a friendly reminder, seats in Tim Buchanan Stadium with a back on them (whether they are orange and black or not) are reserved seats. If your ticket has a section, row and seat number on it, then you have a ticket for one of these reserved seats. Otherwise, all other tickets are general admission tickets and patrons should sit in general admission seating on rows that do not have backs. We ask that if you have reserved tickets and can’t make it to the game, please consider sharing them with or selling them to other Bearcat fans!

Homecoming Game Reminders

Remember, Aledo ISD had a clear bag policy it follows for varsity home games at Tim Buchanan Stadium. You can find the Clear Bag Policy and other Gameday Reminders on this website.

We ask that you please have your tickets out and ready to be scanned through the HomeTown Fan App, which you can find in the App Store or on Google Play or via a printed copy of your ticket. We will ask fans who are having trouble scanning tickets to go to a separate troubleshooting line so that we can scan fans in as quickly as possible; this often happens with screenshots and pictures of tickets on a screen.

We will also have a "pass" gate for those entering with the passes that are accepted for this game, including UIL district passes, THSCA passes and senior citizens/SilverCats passes.

Gates will open an hour before the game (6PM gates open; 7PM kickoff). We know many of you have tailgates planned, and we want to remind you of a few things for tailgating:

  • Parking lots will be open at 5 p.m. for the Homecoming game.
  • Absolutely no alcohol, drugs, smoking, vaping, tobacco, or firearms on school property at any time, including before, during and after football games in the stadium and parking lots. These things are prohibited by law at all times for anyone, no matter their age, on school property.
  • Drive aisles and fire lanes need to be kept clear at all times for free access of emergency vehicles.
  • Grills are permitted provided guests do so at a safe distance from their vehicle. The disposal of hot coals in open parking spaces, under vehicles, or next to parked vehicles is prohibited.
  • No glass containers.

The Homecoming Court will be introduced and the Homecoming Queen will be announced at halftime. And be sure to stick around after the game to watch the Bearcat Regiment perform!
